Participants Wanted for a Research study on Performance Enhancing Chemical Users

Participate in Research on Performance-Enhancing Substance Use within Fitness Communities

Are you currently using — or have you previously used — experimental substances like SARMs or peptide hormones in a fitness, strength sport, or bodybuilding context?

We’re conducting a confidential research study exploring the use of research chemicals—unapproved or experimental performance-enhancing substances—within the fitness, bodybuilding, and strength sport community.

These substances are often sold under labels such as “not for human consumption” and include compounds like Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators (SARMs) and experimental peptide hormones.

  • Your participation will contribute significantly to our understanding of research chemical use in fitness, bodybuilding, and strength sport communities.

  • As a participant in this study, you would be asked to take part in an interview reflecting on your experiences with research chemicals such as SARMs or experimental peptide hormones.

  • If you are 18 years or older and have current or past experience using substances that fit the definition of research chemicals, you are eligible to participate.

  • The interview will take 60–90 minutes and can be conducted over Zoom.

For more information or if interested in participating please contact

Volunteers are encouraged to refrain from providing researchers with their real name to ensure full confidentiality

Interviews will be conducted in English and participation is restricted to only those who have access to the Zoom meeting platform
